This is the magnificent King Oyster Mushroom which I bought from the local Asian Market. I was fascinated by the shape and texture of these mushrooms which was great for a food photo shoot.

I was drawn to these Japanese Shimeji (White Beech) mushrooms which makes food photography mysterious and captivating. They make a great tasty addition to my Miso Soup ingredients.

My version of homemade lemonade - Lemon juice, Honey and Sparkling water (can substitute with tonic water). Sliced limes were used for garnish as I had ran out of lemons. Somehow it still paint a pretty picture. This was captured at the back garden on a beautiful summers day. Cocktail umbrellas were also added to create the summer ambiance.

I was practicing using the right lighting in a dark setting trying to capture the fizz, sliced limes and mint leaves. A refreshing combo!

Scallops on puréed carrots with prosciutto, asparagus and foam. I had fun plating and styling this dish at Le Cordon Bleu's Food Photography & Styling course. I love using dark props and backdrop as it gives more depth and character to the dish. The styling was influenced by the ancient Celtic design, the Trinity knot.

This was taken as part of my exercise/task in the Food Photography & Styling course in Le Cordon Bleu. I love this photo as it displays a fresh, bright and healthy start for the morning. I wanted to add 'movement' to this still life photo, so I thought a trickle of honey would do the trick.
